A brick building with black doors

The centre

o   The centre is located in Clarksfield, East Oldham.

o   The centre comprises a large suite of rooms and halls. Most of the building is available for hire.

o   The principal suite — the Main Hall — comprises a large hall, kitchen, and toilets. It is insured to accommodate up to 110 people.

o   The Food Thrive project operates from a pair of bespoke rooms located adjacent to the Main Hall. These rooms were built in 2020.

o   The kitchen in the Main Hall is of catering quality, and was designed and installed in 2016.

o   The Parish Room behind the Nave is smaller, and ideal for groups comprising up to 15 members. It will shortly include a small brew bar.

o   We will shortly open a second suite of rooms — the Nave. It has a new toilet block (built in 2017) and was re-lighted with modern LED lights (in 2022). We plan to strip and seal the floor in the autumn of 2022.

Our principles

o   As a proud member of Inclusive Church, we refuse to discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, ethnicity, creed, sexuality, etc.

o   We sponsor involvement from all the ethnic groups living locally: white British, Asian, African, and European.

o   We promote surgeries for local councillors. We do not hire the Centre to groups that seek to promote a party-political purpose. Similarly, we will not allow groups that promote hate, prejudice, or division.
