| News 16 October 2023 The Barnabas Centre
  has been given the prestigious ‘Quality in Action Award’ from Action
  Together. Read the press release here.  
 22 December 2022 The gym at the heart of Teen Thrive! is commissioned.  
 11 November 2022 The Centre receives a
  display fridge from Fareshare, to distribute more food to local people
  through the Food Thrive project. 9 November 2022 We completed the renovation of the nave in the church, to enable greater community participation. 
 20 October 2022 A group from the community
  payback scheme cleared and renovated an external yard, which will be used to
  grows food for the Food Thrive project.  
 10 July 2022 Our new community worker, MaryAnne
  Oduntan, is licensed in a short ceremony during our usual Sunday service.  
 5 June 2022  The
  deputy Lord Lieutenant, Dr Shauna Dixon, gives the Vicar a cheque for £2,500
  from the Manchester Guardian
  Society Charitable Trust.  
 27 July 2022 A
  community payback team help with the clearing and polishing after the major
  electrical work of replacing the lights in the church. A massive thanks to Oldham Community
  Fire Service for overseeing this work.

  for Social Action has awarded the Church £5,000 for wages, to appoint a

  Manchester Voluntary and Community Organisation has awarded us £750

  Homes Oldham (FCHO) has awarded us a Reaching Our Communities
  award of £780 to allow Women Thrive! to purchase six Chromebooks.  4 March

  Weston Foundation has awarded us £7,500 toward the cost of refurbishing

  Lottery Fund has awarded us £7,550 toward the cost of replacing the
